Chief Executive Brian Barwick “to leave his post”
Today, during a international friendly between England and the Czech Republic (2-2), the Football Assosiation of England announced Brian Barwick, Cheift Executive, will be leaving the FA on December 31st, 2008. “I’m sad to be leaving the FA”, he said in an official announcement today, “it’s been a privilege to lead.”
Brian Barwick was responsible for assigning Fabio Capello to be Coach of England’s national team who had lead the team to a 2-2 draw at Wembely Stadium on August 20th. Mr. Barwick had been Cheif Executive since January, 2005.
